This series of events is organised in different parts of the country to encourage women to pursue a research career in Mathematics. The aim is to provide an exposure to quality research work in different areas of Mathematics. Well-known mathematicians from different parts of the country deliver lectures on a wide range of topics. In addition, there is an interactive session where participants can exchange their views and experiences with senior mathematicians.
The workshops are inclusive of all genders with a focus on female participants. All post graduate students, PhD scholars, research fellows and faculty members of various colleges/universities/institutes pursuing a career in the mathematical sciences are eligible to apply. Women experiencing breaks in their research career are encouraged to participate. Preference will be given to participants from the region where the workshop is conducted.
The 2023-24 Regional Workshop will be conducted at the Islamic University of Science & Technology, Awantipora, during June 22-23, 2023.
